METALLIC 2 COATS ENAMELS are used for car body protection. They are suitable for protection of automobile car body panels and other vehicles (motorcycles, buses, lorries etc.) METALLIC BASE fundamental coating is a paint that includes metal flakes in its composition and makes the finish sparkle. METALLIC BASE is protected with colorless and high-gloss 2K acrylic PUR lacquer, which protects the metallic base and car body from UV-rays and weather influences. METALLIC 2 COATS ENAMEL consists of: METALLIC BASE in defined shade, METALLIC BASE DILUENT, COLORLESS LACQUER 100DL COMPONENT A, COLORLESS LACQUER 50DL COMPONENT B, DILUENT FOR the COLORLESS LACQUER 100DL.

Usage:
The surface should be wetly whetted with sand paper of granulation 600-800, well cleaned and dried. PREPARATION AND APPLICATION OF THE METALLIC BASE METALLIC BASE should be well mixed and diluted with METALLIC BASE DILUENT 100 MB to viscosity 15-16 seconds (DIN 53211 O=4, T=20°C) METALLIC BASE is manipulated once cross wise for covering over by air pistol under pressure 4-6 bars and through a nozzle 1-1, 2mm.

After drying out: Spraying cross wise again to reach the dry film thickness 20-25µm. The applied surface is dried by the pump of the spray that causes drying. The colorless lacquer can be applied after 15-30 minutes. PREPARATION AND APPLICATION OF THE COLORLESS LACQUER COLORLESS LACQUER from 2 components should be well mixed in ratio A: B (2:1 volume) Component A is acrylic, component B is isocyanate. Together and with additives for light resistance represents a good foundation for protection of the METALLIC BASE. The two components (A and B) should be well mixed and diluted with COLORLESS LACQUER DILUENT 100 BL up to viscosity 18-20 seconds (DIN 53211 O=4, T=20°C). Pot life is 6 hours at 20°C. It is manipulated cross wise (1, 5-2x) by air pistol under pressure 3-5 bars and through a nozzle 1-1, 2mm. The dry film thickness of the lacquer must be 30-40µm.

DRYING METHOD: at air temperature 20°C - 20 minutes (dry dust free) - 90 minutes (dry tack free) - in stoves at 80°C - 15 minutes exhaust cooling - 30 minutes drying - after cooling for assembly WARNING: By using the colorless lacquer we make sure that no water or humidity comes into. In that case the lacquer does not harden. The shade of the metallic base depends on the application method and thickness. Therefore an experienced lacquerer should spatter very carefully.
